With 6G and its required standards a few years away, many industry organisations are busily pushing 5G to its full potential under the 5G Broadcast banner. George Jarrett looks to the European Broadcasting Union’s contributions.
In the midst of 5G Broadcast as it mesmerises Europe sits the EBU’s Senior Project Manager Darko Ratkaj, one of his biggest contributions being the heftily-supported project 5G-EMERGE. He is also coordinator of an EBU members group on PMSE, looking at 5G in production, and he represents the EBU in the IBC Accelerator on private 5G networks.
