A 30W LED wand from Nanlite promises a useful amount of light (14,150 lux at 0.5m, at 5600K), thanks to its RGBW Nebula C4 Light Engine and focusing lenses on the LEDs.
It weighs 420g, has a colour temperature range of 2700K to 7500K with plus/minus 150 green/magenta adjustment. Users can choose from 36,000 colours in HSI mode and 14 lighting effects, with 0% to 100% dimming. It comes with removable barndoors to shape the light and a diffuser. It doesn't have to be hand-held, as there is also a 1/4in threaded mount on its base for attachment to a light stand or other support.
The wand can be powered using NP-F batteries, a USB-C PD 3.0 charger or a power bank – attached using the optional Power Bank Holder for NP-F Slot. There is a small, round display, a couple of function buttons and a dial for on-board control, but it can also be used with the Nanlink 2.0 app, which can control multiple lights, individually or as a group. It has a low-noise fan (22dB) and two colour choices: mint blue and midnight blue.
