Nanlite has brought 1,200W-class LED output to its more affordable FC Series of LED spotlights with the new FC-1200B and FC-1200C models.
Until recently, this level of power, enough to push through larger modifiers, light bigger spaces, or serve as a convincing sun source, was largely the preserve of higher-budget productions. The FC-1200B and full-colour FC-1200C are designed to offer a more attainable route to high-output lighting without the usual separate ballast-and-head setup.
Both lights combine a compact 10kg all-in-one design with Bowens-mount compatibility, 0.1% dimming, DMX/RDM, Nanlink 2.0 App control and quiet fan modes. The FC-1200B offers accurate 2700K–6500K bi-colour white light, while the FC-1200C adds Nanlite’s Nebula C4 full-colour engine, 2400K–12,000K CCT adjustment, green/magenta correction and extensive creative colour tools.
The FC-1200B delivers 15,620 lux at 3m (5600K, with 45° reflector), while the FC-1200C outputs 14,220 lux at 3m (5600K, 45° reflector). With a 90° beam angle, both fixtures provide broad coverage and are suitable for large softboxes and modifiers.
