Exclusively unveiled at IBC2025 and engineered for long-distance RF signal transport in broadcast, film and live production, Wisycom’s new Portable RF over fibre (RFoF)Box is designed for environments where coaxial cables are impossible to deploy.
The compact unit can transmit two RF channels in isofrequency over fibre, or be configured as a diversity receiver with two independent channels.
Operating in single-mode fibre, Wisycom says it preserves signal integrity over extended runs with minimal loss, while a wide dynamic range and low-noise design ensures high performance. Operating on both battery and mains, it supports both remote and mobile use, while a temperature-controlled fan protects against heat buildup, and its rugged construction withstands field conditions.
Davide Morsiani, CEO, Wisycom, said: “The Portable RFoF Box gives production teams a reliable, high-quality way to manage RF signals and remote control via ethernet, over long distances, even in the most challenging environments.”
The Portable RFoF Box ships shortly after IBC via Wisycom’s distributors.
