Apple expands Apple TV to 170 markets

Apple is rolling out is Apple TV streaming platform into 59 additional countries, taking the service’s global footprint to 170 markets.

The move comes as part of a change to Apple’s iCloud+ subscription, which saw Apple TV and Apple Arcade added to the cloud service at no extra cost in over 100 countries, including India, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.

It means subscribers buying Apple’s cloud storage will automatically gain access to Apple TV and shows such as Ted Lasso, The Studio, Severance, and Pluribus.

They will also be able to access games service Apple Arcade, which has a catalogue of over 200 games, including Football Manager 26 Touch, Hello Kitty Island Adventure, and Angry Birds Reloaded.

However, the offer applies in certain countries only, and the list doesn’t include the US, UK, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand or key European countries.

The deal sees iCloud+ effectively replacing the Apple One bundle for new subscribers in these countries.

Apple said the offer will roll out in 100+ included countries “through the end of September.”

“We’re excited to bring Apple TV and Apple Arcade to iCloud+ users in over 100 countries in one convenient subscription,” said Eddy Cue, Senior Vice President, Services, Health, Apple. “iCloud+ users can now securely store and share personal content across their devices, enjoy the absolute best in original storytelling from Apple TV, and explore an incredible lineup of hundreds of games through Apple Arcade.”

The Apple Museum recently showcased computers and editing technology from the 1980s and 1990s at IBC2026. Discover more here.
