Big Blue Marble has added live multiview channels to Cloud Video Kit, its AWS-supported video processing and delivery platform, using AWS Elemental Dynamic Multiview.
According to the company, the new feature lets viewers watch multiple live feeds within a single stream and choose how they are arranged on screen. Such streams might include different camera angles, concurrent games, or separate channels. The feature is integrated into the same Cloud Video Kit infrastructure customers already use for encoding, packaging, distribution, and content security.
Big Blue Marble commented that unlike server-side compositing, layouts are assembled on demand rather than pre-rendered, meaning costs scale with the number of encoded source streams rather than the number of layouts viewers create. The stream is protected by a single digital rights management (DRM) key and can be delivered to end-user devices without custom software development kits (SDKs) or additional integrations.
Krzysztof Bartkowski, CEO, Big Blue Marble Streaming and Cloud Media, noted that the company has been building streaming solutions on AWS for over a decade, “and we’re excited to be among the first to use Elemental Dynamic Multiview to bring live multiview streaming capabilities to our customers”.
“We believe that with this new AWS Elemental feature, Cloud Video Kit can give broadcasters and content owners a new way to engage viewers without adding complexity to their streaming workflows,” he concluded.
