DJI has unveiled the Osmo Pocket 4P, its first dual-lens gimbal camera, bringing a larger 1in sensor, dual-lens versatility and professional imaging features to its compact pocket camera lineup.
The new model is designed to deliver greater creative flexibility for filmmakers and content creators, offering up to 17 stops of dynamic range alongside DJI’s new 10-bit D-Log 2 colour profile for enhanced detail and colour grading capabilities.
The Osmo Pocket 4P pairs its 1in CMOS sensor with an f/1.8 60mm lens and an f/2.0 20mm lens, supporting up to 8x UHD slow-motion recording at 240fps.
According to DJI, the 10-bit D-Log 2 colour profile, combined with the wider dynamic range, preserves more highlight and shadow detail while providing greater flexibility for colour grading in post-production.
Weighing 230g, the Osmo Pocket 4P features an advanced three-axis mechanical gimbal, while the latest ActiveTrack 8.0 technology is designed to keep subjects centred in the frame, even when shooting at full zoom.
Other features include instant recording by rotating the touchscreen, gesture controls for self-shooting, 4K Live Photo with 1.5-second clips accompanying each still image, and support for 37MP high-resolution photos.
The camera also offers transfer speeds of up to 800MB/s, fast charging from 0 to 80% in 18 minutes for up to three hours of shooting, and a maximum battery life of up to 210 minutes on a full charge.
