Accedo previews Accedo Compose modular orchestration layer

Video streaming software and service provider Accedo is showcasing Accedo Compose, a modular orchestration layer underpinned by AI agents that is due to be launched next year.

According to Luke Gaydon, Head of Offering and Portfolio Management at Accedo, the new service is designed to turn what tend to be static user experiences of streaming services into more dynamic and intelligent engagements through the use of agentic AI.

“We hope that it will deliver what we’re calling a composable customer experience, which is something that you see in other industries, such as e-commerce, retail, financial services,” Gaydon said.

Accedo Compose is being developed in partnership with cloud-native data and video streaming specialist Merapar and uses technology from AWS such as Amazon Sagemaker Unified Studio and Amazon Bedrock.

In detail, the product is set to allow streaming teams to go beyond static feature deployment, activating modular AI “impact agents” that monitor behaviour, test interventions and autonomously evolve viewer touchpoints in pursuit of key business outcomes.

Merapar CEO Alex Terpstra said the industry is now pinning down the real value of AI after a period of experimentation.

“The agentic side of it comes into play more and more, because that’s where the actual action happens, and where you can decide whether it’s autonomous or not, and really fundamentally improve your services,” Terpstra said.
