World Skills Café returns to IBC

The Global Media and Entertainment Talent Manifesto has said that the World Skills Café will return at IBC2025, alongside the launch of a new initiative, Ignite, a mentoring programme designed to support people of colour.

The World Skills Café is described as the M&E technology industry’s global flagship event for addressing the critical skills, diversity, and education challenges impacting the sector.

World Skills Café returns to IBC2025

The 2025 edition will feature interactive workshops, keynotes, and expert-led panels designed to drive action across the sector. The event will run from 2pm – 5pm on Thursday 11 September at RAI Amsterdam, with networking drinks to follow.

The new Ignite programme aims to provide tailored mentoring partnerships that foster career development, build professional networks, and accelerate leadership pathways for people of colour

Lesley Mackenzie to become Chair of DTG

The Digital TV Group (DTG) has appointed Lesley Mackenzie to take over in April 2026 as Chair of the association for British digital television broadcasters. Mackenzie will succeed Simon Fell in April 2026, who is stepping down after serving the maximum term permitted under the DTG’s constitution.
