On the Future Tech stage, Michelle Munson, CEO and co-founder of Eluvio, presented an approach to AI and video distribution at scale, focusing on their core technology, the content fabric.
Munson emphasised the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the content fabric, which integrated AI metadata directly with media content to enable personalised and dynamic video distribution without the need for multiple versions. This platform reduced distribution costs by more than tenfold and provided robust security features, including end-to-end encryption and rights management directly embedded within the media. The content fabric also eliminated the need for egress fees associated with cloud services, making it a highly scalable and monetisable solution for content owners.
Munson highlighted the significant advantages of the content fabric in live feed distribution, particularly for sports broadcasting. The technology supported ultra-low latency, multipath distribution, allowing live feeds to be efficiently delivered to global audiences, including previously unreachable markets. This capability was demonstrated through use cases with sports organisations like EPCR TV, which achieved 70% profitability and expanded their fan base fivefold using the fabric's efficient streaming and monetisation features. The fabric's unique zero-copy architecture enabled instant generation of highlights and compositions, further enhancing the viewing experience and operational efficiency.
