Darts Final Scores Highest Ever Non-Football Audience for Sky Sports

A record audience of over 4.8m people tuned in to watch 2024 PDC World Darts Championship final in the UK on Wednesday night (Jan 3), making it the most watched darts event ever on Sky and Now.

More than 4.8m people tuned in to watch 2024 PDC World Darts Championship final

A peak audience of 3.71m watched Luke Humphries beat 16-year-old Luke Littler to claim his first ever World Darts Championship title, a 143% increase on the 2023 final. Littler was aiming to become darts’ youngest ever world champion after a remarkable run to the final. 

Sky said the record figure represents the highest ever non-football peak on Sky Sports. 

Darts mania has also been seen across social media with 27.6m WDC final video views across Sky Sports’ social channels on Wednesday night.  

On Sky Sports Darts (X), there has been 149.1m impressions across the whole tournament and 9.9m video views of content around the final alone, compared to 16.5m for the whole 2023 tournament.  

The impressive figures continued across Instagram – 11.8m video views - and a 10.2m total reach on Facebook. Sky Sports.com and its app had 2.44m following the live blog – up 307% year on year.
