BT is reportedly in advanced talks to sell its 50% stake in TNT Sports to joint venture partner Warner Bros Discovery, according to a report in The Financial Times.
The report said a deal could be announced this week, when BT is set to unveil its annual results, depending on how negotiations progress.

The two companies formed a sports broadcasting joint venture back in 2022, with TNT Sports replacing BT Sport the following year.
As part of the joint-venture agreement, Warner Bros Discovery has the right to buy out BT before the end of 2026.
Warner Bros Discovery is preparing for the launch of its HBO Max streaming service in the UK next year.
Sports will be a key offering for enticing subscribers to the streaming service alongside HBO series such as Succession, The White Lotus and the new Harry Potter series.
TNT channels have rights to some exclusive Premier League football games and
UEFA Champions League and Premiership rugby.
