Cloud media asset management platform Imagen, which is in the process of being acquired by Thomson Reuters, is set to showcase the latest version of Live Connect, providing rightsholders, broadcasters, teams and leagues with the ability to ingest live feeds for redistribution and archive.

According to the company, Live Connect ingests and automatically stores multiple live feeds via SRT and RTMP protocols from camera to cloud. This provides users with permission-based access to share, download, edit, enrich and repurpose live content as it’s happening. Imagen claimed that the capability to ingest multiple camera angles gives content creators the “unique ability to choose what they want to clip, edit and highlight, getting fresh media to their audiences rapidly”.
Thomson Reuters announced in June that it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire Imagen. The business will be operated as part of the Reuters News division of Thomson Reuters.
Charlie Horrell, CEO of Imagen, said: “We are delighted to become part of the Reuters family and are excited for the potential this gives us. The combination of Reuters and Imagen brings significant opportunities to reach new customers and better-serve existing ones. We look forward to a bright future together.”
