Video streaming software and services provide Accedo said it has enabled sports media company FloSports to expand its service to Samsung and Vizio smart TVs, with built in functionality enabling viewers to purchase new FloSports packages from their TVs.
The FloSports service allows viewers to subscribe to more than 25 different sports and view on-demand and live content. The addition of in-device purchasing available through Samsung Checkout and Vizio Account integrations is said to enable simplified sign up and subscription management.
To bring the streaming service to Samsung and Vizio smart TVs, Accedo said it worked closely with FloSports throughout the design, development and deployment process. Accedo is also supporting FloSports to launch on LG smart TVs later this year.
Mrugesh Desai, VP, North America at Accedo, said: “The expansion of FloSports on to additional smart TV applications will help FloSports deliver its premium sports experiences to an even wider audience. Having frictionless sign-ups direct on the TV makes it even easier for viewers to subscribe to additional sports packages, improving the overall viewer experience.”
FloSports is currently available on mobile, web, and connected TV devices with a FloSports subscription. Connected TV viewers can also access the service on Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Google TV and Roku devices.
