Video compression and transcoding specialist Visionular is launching AuroraHorizon, the newly expanded intelligence tier of its AI-infused video ecosystem.
According to Maria João Matos, Head of Global Marketing at Visionular, the platform is an “extension of what we have been doing in video”. It is a new product family designed to help media and technology companies deploy large-model video AI more efficiently in production.
One element is GenOpt, a tool for optimising AI-generated video. Designed specifically for generative video, it applies targeted post-generation optimisation to recover detail, enhance visual realism and improve temporal consistency. Matos said the tool can reduce total token costs by more than 30% in selected workflows.
Another component is Sensa, an underlying intelligence layer for semantic data extraction and cross-modal translation. “Video has always needed metadata and metadata extraction. [Now we’re] bringing AI into that process, [so you can] find all the information you need from a video with a simple prompt,” Matos added.
