Zhongshan Shanmu Outdoor Products’ Cavix brand is targeting faster, lighter camera setups with new tripods and monopods featuring quick-lock mechanisms and carbon fibre construction.
The Iron Man Series is engineered for high-efficiency cinematography, with an innovative integrated quick-lock system with an electric one-button lift control. A long press instantly activates height adjustment, and the system locks automatically on release.
With synchronised opening and closing of all leg sections, setup and folding are completed in one second, according to the company. It is paired with a precision eight-step counterbalance fluid head with ergonomic tilt damping.
The Ankh One-Click Lifting Monopod has a single-click lift-and-lock mechanism for single-handed operation. The carbon fibre unit has a maximum height of 202cm and a folded length of 81cm, and its detachable LV-05S fluid head carries 5kg. Unusually, it has a modular design, integrating monopod, low-angle tabletop tripod, and trekking pole functions in one system.
The Dragonfly Series carbon fibre tripod weighs just 1.5kg with a folded length of 49cm for backpack transport. The flip-lock system enables one-handed rapid operation, while a maximum working height of 1.6m covers most shooting scenarios.
