The RM-X-64, a new audio over IP (AoIP) reference monitor from Sonifex, supports 128 channels of simultaneous monitoring in a 1U chassis. The rear depth is less than 20cm, making it suitable for space-constrained environments such as OB vehicles and master control rooms.
The RM-X-64 combines 64 channels of Dante AoIP and 64 channels of MADI, while modular expansion slots add analogue, digital or 12G-SDI audio sources.
A 6.6in touchscreen and rotary encoder provide source selection and monitoring control. User-defined metering groups allow engineers to build customised views for multi-source workflows. Integrated loudspeakers, headphone monitoring and external outputs cover a range of listening options.
Built-in talkback, web-based remote management and configurable GPIO/VGPIO (Ember+) connectivity are also included. Dual network and fibre connections, with automatic power switchover between AC and 12V DC inputs, support continuous operation.
