Rock-a-bye Gen 2 on show from NB Stabilizer

The updated Rock-a-bye Gen 2 horizon-stabilised head from NB Stabilizer now offers continuous 360° rotation around the lens axis.

This means the operator can freely spin the camera and, at any point where they choose to stop, the system locks and holds that exact angle, independent of the sled’s position. It's made possible thanks to the fact that the SDI and power cables pass through the system via the built-in slip ring.

Take note: NB Stabilizer’s updated head offers continuous 360° rotation

This means the video signal and camera power can travel from the static side to the rotating side, enabling technically endless 360° camera rotation without external BNC or power cables getting in the way or limiting the system to a single rotation.

Rock-a-bye keeps the camera perfectly level at any sled angle, supporting payloads up to 15kg. It mounts directly on a Steadicam top stage and enables precise, creative control in the most dynamic shots.

Rock-a-bye users can also, optionally, pre-define stop angles for controlled, intentional rotation limits. The head also has a hard-anodised coating for durability, a slim body for close-to-body operating, and a powerful motor that performs even without perfect camera balance. It also offers a quick, simple transition to other rigs, with no need for software tweaking.
