RadioMan, Lamppu to streamline regional radio production

The RadioMan automation system is on show at IBC alongside Lamppu, a mobile app for field journalists and contributors. Lamppu connects to live broadcasts using a smartphone, without dedicated codecs or additional hardware.

One European broadcaster currently uses the combination to manage 18 regional programme streams alongside a national feed from a single centralised RadioMan installation.

Contributors use Lamppu to deliver live news, interviews, sports reports and local content into scheduled regional windows, reducing dependence on dedicated regional studios.

RadioMan coordinates scheduling, playlist management, and content distribution across all streams, synchronising content insertion and maintaining programme continuity through timing control and automated gap-filling functions.

Lamppu adds two-way talkback, real-time programme monitoring, remote audio level control, automatic background audio fading, and secure guest access for external contributors.
