Paul Thomas Anderson's comedy-thriller One Battle After Another was the biggest winner at the 2026 Bafta Film Awards, picking up six prizes including best film, best director, and best adapted screenplay for Anderson.
One Battle After Another also won awards for cinematography and editing, as well as for Sean Penn’s supporting performance as an obsessed military officer.

Vampire tale Sinners and gothic horror Frankenstein each won three awards.
Sinners took home trophies for Director Ryan Coogler’s original screenplay, the film’s musical score, and for Wunmi Mosaku’s supporting actress performance.
Frankenstein’s three wins were for costume, makeup hair, and production design.
Meanwhile, Shakespearean family tragedy Hamnet won two prizes, including best British film and best actress for Jessie Buckley.
In a major upset, Robert Aramayo won the best actor award for his role in I Swear, about a campaigner for people with Tourette syndrome, beating Hollywood stars Ethan Hawke, Michael B. Jordan, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Timothée Chalamet. I Swear also won in the casting category.
One Battle After Another went into the Bafta ceremony with 14 nominations. Sinners was just behind with 13, while Hamnet had 11. Table tennis drama Marty Supreme also had 11 nominations but went home empty-handed.
Additionally, Sentimental Value won Best Film not in the English Language, while F1 won sound, and Avatar: Fire and Ash won the award for special visual effects.
The Baftas were hosted by Alan Cumming at The Royal Festival Hall in London.
