Eastbrook Studios in Dagenham – dubbed London’s largest film and TV studio campus – has opened its doors for production.
Developed by The MBS Group and Hackman Capital Partners (HCP), the 21.5-acre campus is home to 12 soundstages ranging in size from 16,000ft2 to 32,000ft2.
Operable walls between stages allow for interconnectivity and there are also specialised workshop, office, and production support spaces. Several acres of backlot areas are available for exterior film sets, as well as nearby cityscapes, urban landscapes and rural locations.
HCP reportedly agreed to invest £300m to develop the site at the project's outset, with an original completion date slated for mid-2023. The final cost of the project as it stands is unknown.
The new studios have also achieved a BREAM construction rating of Excellent.

Brantley Bissette, Managing Director at Eastbrook Studios, said: “Our modern and technologically advanced stages have the flexibility to welcome productions of every scale and type. This new creative hub, right here in London, is among the world’s finest. We’re extremely proud to be delivering world-class infrastructure to both domestic and international productions.”
The studio team are currently working with the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham to create opportunities for education and employment within the local community.
