LaLiga names HBS and NVP as broadcast partners

Spain’s LaLiga football competition has selected HBS (Host Broadcast Services) and NVP to handle media production for its Primera and Segunda Division matches for five years from the start of the 2025-26 season.

The two companies will form a joint venture based in Spain to run the operations. They take over the broadcast coverage of La Liga from Mediapro.

HBS has acted as host broadcaster for every FIFA World Cup since 2002, while NVP is a leading Italian broadcast production services company. They will handle production, MCR and centralised services for LaLiga.

Spain’s TSA (Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales) will handle contribution and distribution for La Liga, with the Spanish league citing its “key technical expertise in the international communications sector.” TSA’s experience spans the UEFA Champions League, the Copa del Rey and the Olympic Games.

LaLiga began the search for audiovisual production providers in September 2024. It involved audiovisual technology consultancy service Abacanto to technically evaluate all the applications received.

“It is a great privilege for HBS to have been appointed by LaLiga. We are very proud of our track record globally, and entering a new territory and partnership with such an esteemed client is an exciting opportunity. Along with NVP we look forward to working with LaLiga to bring innovative and engaging coverage to audiences over the coming years,” said Dan Miodownik, HBS CEO.

“We are extremely proud to partner with HBS on this prestigious project. This achievement confirms our commitment to excellence, continuous development and innovation. We look forward to contributing to the continued success of LaLiga with our expertise and dedication,” stated Massimo Pintabona, CEO of  NVP.
