Low-latency lightweight live links: Domo Broadcast Systems’ Raptor Talon TXR

Purpose-built for ultra-lightweight body-worn and drone applications, the Raptor Talon combines a 55x38x17mm housing, weighing only 52g, with broadcast-grade wireless transmission. It is small enough to be integrated comfortably into referee camera systems, without restricting movement, compromising comfort or impacting the official’s role on the field.

It delivers HD 1080p60 video using H.264 encoding with low-latency COFDM transmission, enabling production teams to receive a genuine live feed directly from the official’s point of view, anywhere on the field. It means directors can cut to a referee’s perspective during crucial moments, adding immediacy, context and impact.

It supports integrated camera control via its UHF return link, allowing operators to maintain image quality while keeping the on-person equipment exceptionally lightweight. Combined with Domo’s COFDM wireless technology it should deliver a reliable, resilient transmission capable of operating in the challenging RF conditions typically found inside major sporting venues.
