Version 2026.4 of the Limecraft cloud-based platform, designed to enable content creators to store, manage, and share everything from rushes to masters, is now available.
2026.4 introduces Team-Based Access Control (TMAC), GPU-accelerated media processing for Apple Silicon, and further enhancements to localisation and editorial workflows.
According to Maarten Verwaest, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of Limecraft, the Teams functionality is a new framework for managing permissions across multiple workspaces.
“Many of our customers operate across hundreds of active productions, involving internal teams, freelancers, production partners, and service providers,” said Verwaest. “Teams provides a scalable way to manage access rights consistently, reducing administrative effort while improving governance and transparency.”
With an eye toward large-scale producers, managed services providers, and broadcasters managing large talent pools, Teams extends Limecraft's existing access controls by allowing administrators to group users, permissions, and workspaces into reusable configurations. New productions can be linked to existing teams, while new users inherit the appropriate permissions.
Version 2026.4 also introduces a beta implementation of GPU-accelerated video encoding and decoding in Limecraft Edge for Apple Silicon Macs.
For localisation professionals, translation optimisation settings have been added to provide greater control over the balance between processing speed and translation quality.
