Videosys bridges the gap with Connected Live

The Connected Live wireless camera system from Videosys Broadcast uses bidirectional IP technology to bridge the gap between existing WiFi and COFDM wireless cameras.

Arnold Roozenburg, Sales and Marketing Director, Videosys Broadcast, said: “It sits in between a premium video link and a more budget video link, and can be used with both licensed and licence-exempt frequencies.” This is possible because it uses a proprietary IP link that can support both.

Roozenburg: The Connected Live link ‘can be used with both licensed and license-exempt frequencies’

Connected Live supports HD HDR, but is 4K upgradable, with ultra-low delay video and a transparent IP data trunk. The high bandwidth RF link can use multiple receive nodes to create several zones for wireless cameras. The clip-on camera back offers a built in PoE output port providing 15W of power that can be used for talkback systems.

The system has varied applications. For TV studios, multizone operation allows coverage across multiple studios, while a return video channel feeds teleprompters wirelessly. For live events Steadicam operators have talkback and return video via a single wireless link. It also scales up to affordably cover multiple cameras for corporate events.
