Making customers autonomous, not independent

Using AI to give streaming customers more control over their platforms is a major focus for Accedo at IBC.

Desai: Accedo Compose platform ‘will make us stickier’ Accedo

The video technology and services company is showcasing the Composability Index, described as a “data-grounded benchmark” of platform configurability across the OTT industry.

The index evaluates how modular, flexible, and AI-ready, streaming platforms actually are.

And, as explained by Mrugesh Desai, Chief Revenue Officer at Accedo, the company sees AI as complementary to its services business rather than a threat to it.

“Our customers appreciate having more autonomy, but they know that it doesn’t mean vendor displacement,” Desai said.

Referring to Accedo Compose, an AI-native experience orchestration platform built for OTT streaming services, Desai said: “I actually think this will make us stickier”.

“Compose is built on 20 years of data. That underlying data is still our intellectual property. Only we can farm it and use it for our customers. That’s where the inherent value is coming from in terms of the smarts that Compose has,” he added.
