For the Belgian market, it has taken 100% of UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Conference League rights on an exclusive basis.

In Austria, Canal+ has taken 100% of UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League rights on an exclusive basis.

In Switzerland, Canal+ has renewed its deal to broadcast one match per day of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League or UEFA Conference League in French and on a co-exclusive basis.

The new agreements come in addition to Canal+’s recent extension of its exclusive rights to the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League, and the UEFA Conference League in France until 2030/2031.

Meanwhile, Disney+’s agreement brings the UEFA Champions League to the streamer in Sweden for the first time – providing all three men’s club competitions together in one place. Exclusive rights to the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League have been renewed across both Sweden and Denmark.

Canal+ and Disney+ agreed on the rights deals with UC3, the organisation that manages the commercial rights to UEFA club competitions.

Maxime Saada, CEO of Canal+, commented: “We are very proud to further strengthen our partnership with UC3 by securing key European markets until 2031… Canal+ is now, more than ever, the largest broadcaster of the UEFA Men’s Club Competitions in Europe and more broadly in the world with rights in more than 50 countries.”

Karl Holmes, General Manager of Disney+ EMEA, said: “We're particularly proud to bring our customers in Sweden the UEFA Champions League men's and women's competitions for the first time ever – alongside the renewal of UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League across Sweden and Denmark. As we continue to grow our sports offering in Europe, fans can enjoy the biggest football nights across the UEFA Champions League men's and women's competitions, alongside the stories they already love on Disney+”.
