Pinewood Group has appointed Lisa Firetto as General Manager of the Pinewood Studios site in Buckinghamshire.
Firetto started working for Pinewood in 2007 and has gained experience at both of Pinewood Group’s studio sites in the UK, Pinewood and Shepperton Studios.
Firetto has a background in customer experience and production management and will take over the role from current General Manager, James Rider, in July 2025.
Firetto’s appointment coincides with the launch of the Pinewood Indie Film Hub on the Pinewood site. The new film hub will support productions that qualify for the UK’s Independent Film Tax Credit (IFTC).
The facility will incorporate sound stages, production offices and ancillary areas. It will also include on-site support services and packages designed aimed at lower budget productions, as well as access to the Pinewood Studios ecosystem including camera hire to post production.
Firetto said: “I am delighted to accept this new role and the opportunity to continue to evolve and build upon Pinewood’s offering to our customers. I am passionate about the industry and the Studio and dedicated to honouring our history and heritage whilst championing future developments. I am especially thrilled to be at the helm as we approach the opening of the Pinewood Indie Film Hub. It is fitting that Pinewood is taking the lead in supporting the growth of this sector.”
David Conway, CEO of Pinewood Group, said: “Lisa is a thoughtful leader and a passionate advocate for customer experience. She has held a number of commercial and operational roles and has a vision for new initiatives and how we can build upon the fantastic history of the Pinewood Studios site.”
