Megahertz integrates with Mediability

Broadcast integrator Megahertz has announced “a strategic integration” with Norway-based Mediability to join their operations across live production, IP workflows and AV installations.

Jon Flay, Megahertz’ Group CEO, said: Mediability has “a real strength in corporate AV and educational AV markets”, areas Megahertz has never dealt with, while Megahertz has specialised in mobile and vehicle-based broadcast systems, an area Mediability has never targeted. “We're very complementary, and we have different markets as well. We’ll be able to bring Mediability’s corporate AV stuff into the UK and our other markets, and can support them with broadcast projects. It's very much a win-win.”

It's not a merger or takeover. “Both brands will continue to coexist. We're just running them operationally as one double organisation.”

Knut Andersen, Global CEO, Mediability, added: “From the Mediability point of view, we will be able to bid on larger projects because we have more people on our staff and have specialist competence within the joint operation. For new opportunities, we look at it together and decide from the larger group what's the best team to take into this project.”

Recent projects show this enhanced capability in action, including shared delivery for Nordic public broadcasters, corporate studios for major UK clients and expanded integration capabilities in the MENA region. At IBC, the two are showing a Mediability-style corporate studio.
