LTN promotes Bryan McGuirk to CRO role

LTN today announced the promotion of Bryan McGuirk to the role of chief revenue officer (CRO), with a remit to drive the company’s global growth and strengthen its leadership in IP-based distribution.

McGuirk brings over 30 years of commercial leadership experience in the telecommunications, satellite, and media sectors. His career spans executive roles at LTN, SES, Globecomm, NBCU and Warner Bros. (Turner Broadcasting).

Malik Khan, executive chairman and co-founder of LTN, said: “Bryan’s appointment comes at a critical inflection point for our industry. As regulatory changes reshape the future of satellite capacity and content owners seek smarter, more scalable, and agile ways to reach audiences, LTN’s purpose-built IP network has become the clear choice for future-focused broadcasters and sports organisations. Bryan’s expertise, strategic insight, and deep industry relationships make him an ideal leader to drive our next phase of innovation and expansion.”

LTN noted that the appointment comes as North American broadcasters face increasing urgency to transition away from satellite. Auctions mandated to repurpose at least 100MHz of upper C-Band spectrum — building on the 2021 and 2023 auctions that reallocated 60% of C-Band — are set to place new constraints on satellite-based video distribution, it said.

McGuirk said: “The broadcasting industry is at a turning point. Regulatory shifts are accelerating the reduction of satellite capacity, and industry players are looking for solutions. LTN has already built the infrastructure, interoperable technology, and managed services to help the world’s leading broadcasters and sports leagues succeed in this new era. I’m excited to be fuelling LTN’s next phase of growth in this fast-moving, IP-first future.”
