Global film and TV studio Fifth Season has tapped the former BBC Studios and NBCU International Studios executive Charlotte Bloxham for the newly created position of SVP of Physical Production.
Based in London, Bloxham will oversee production on a range of UK and European scripted projects for Fifth Season’s studio business, working with Ben Irving, Creative Director of UK Television, as the company expands its production activity out of the UK.

Bloxham joins on 2 January 2024 and will report into Todd Sharp, President of Physical Production and Current.
Bloxham joins from BBC Studios Drama Productions where she was Director of Production and was a key player in the transition of Doctor Who from a BBC public service production to a global franchise co-production with Bad Wolf and Disney+.
She was also responsible for overseeing production on titles including Jimmy McGovern’s Time, Life and Death in the Warehouse, We Hunt Together and the BBC legacy production, Silent Witness.
Before BBC Studios, Bloxham was SVP Production for NBC Universal International Studios between 2018 and 2021. During this time, she was responsible for overseeing all television production for Heyday Television, Working Title Television and NBC Universal Studios international productions.
Bloxham’s previous roles include Head of Production at Fifty Fathoms. She also spent fifteen years as a Line Producer in television working in the UK and across Europe for all major broadcasters.
Sharp said, “As Fifth Season continues its growth in key markets around the world, Charlotte’s deep expertise within the UK and European production space will further cement us as an industry leader within the region.
Fifth Season’s film titles include The Lost Daughter from Maggie Gyllenhaal and Michael Bay’s Ambulance. The studio produces TV series including the Severance and See for Apple TV+, Wolf Like Me for Peacock, Life & Beth and Nine Perfect Strangers for HBO Max, and Scenes From A Marriage for HBO. Fifth Season also handles global distribution for series in addition to its own studio productions, including Killing Eve, The Morning Show, Normal People, and The Night Manager.
