Disney+ EMEA Vice President of Scripted Johanna Devereaux is to join rival streamer Apple TV+’s UK-based scripted team under European Creative Director Jay Hunt.
Devereaux will take up her role in the new year after four years at Disney where she was responsible for developing content strategy across the region, curating and executive producing original series for Disney+, and driving inclusion policy for EMEA original series.

Devereaux has launched 34 originals on the platform and has 40 more titles greenlit, including Extraordinary, The Ballad of Renegade Nell and The Good Mothers.
Before joining the Disney+ EMEA team, she was Director of Development for ABC Studios International.
She joins an Apple TV+ scripted team which has greenlit series such as Slow Horses, Hijack and Bad Sisters.
At Disney she will be replaced by Lee Mason who will assume responsibility for projects set to launch from January onwards as well as the full scripted development slate.
“I am enormously proud of what we’ve achieved over the past four years: producing and launching the first slate of EMEA originals for Disney+ has been the experience of a lifetime,” said Devereaux. “I will always be grateful to Liam Keelan who has led the Originals team with unfailing integrity and vision, and to Lee Mason, Sean Doyle, and the brilliant Originals gang across the region – their creativity and kindness have been an inspiration. Disney+ has some truly amazing UK and European series in the pipeline, and I’ll be cheering them on every step of the way.”
