LTN and Sony have announced an integration that reportedly brings cloud media management directly into linear playout, helping broadcasters and content owners get content to air faster with fewer manual steps.
Specifically, Sony has connected its Ci Media Cloud with LTN Schedule Playout. The companies say the integration lets channel creators browse, preview, and use assets from their Ci library within the playout interface.
File assets and live-stream recordings automatically flow back into Ci, creating a two-way workflow that aims to simplify content handling and reduce operational complexity.
Rick Young, SVP, Global Products, LTN, said media companies need technology that works together without adding another layer of operational complexity.
He stated: “By integrating Ci directly with LTN Schedule Playout, we’re connecting best-in-class cloud media management with proven real-time playout and automation capabilities. Customers can move content more efficiently between environments while maintaining the flexibility to build workflows around their specific operational needs.”
Joint customer Public Media Management (PMM) is already using the integration to bring cloud-based media management and real-time linear playout together in live broadcast operations.
