The prestigious IBC2023 Stand Design Awards have been announced, with four gongs going to the very best in stands at the IBC show this year.
The Chair of the Stand Design Awards judging panel is Dan Cherowbrier and he and a team of ten judges explored the Show Floor to find stand-out Stand Design in 2023.
The awards were presented to each of the winners on the Show Floor at each stand on Sunday 17 September.
Lisa Collins, Chair of the IBC Exhibition Steering Committee said: “It’s been amazing to see the scale and depth of innovation in stand design this year, with many contributors significantly increasing the design and ideas that deliver stands this year.”
There are four Awards for Best Large Stand, Best Medium Stand, Best Small Stand and Innovation.

Best Large Stand:
Fraunhofer Digital Media – 8.B80
The judges agreed:
The Fraunhofer stand impresses with its subtlety as much as it does with its presence. The towering stand seeks to nearly indicate its height whilst holding aloft the straightforward signage needed to tell visitors what each part of the stand does. The use of shadows and space creates an inviting open space which seeks to be enjoyed.

Best Medium Stand:
Angenieux 12.F30
The judges said:
The stand gives you the feeling of being inside the lens with elegant graphics and colour coordination. Its design interestingly identifies the product and values on offer.

Best Small Stand:
Prime 2.C54
The judges said:
“Prime is a great use of a small space. Warm and inviting, with clear product display and three separate areas on such a small footprint.”

Innovation:
Hedge Hall 7 (7.A32)
The judges said: “Hedge won the innovation category having taken the space for a medium stand but ensured that they had dedicated enough space to allow their teams respite. This ensured that their visible stand was fully dedicated to the customer and crucially had well rested and engaged staff. “
The stand is very busy and engaging. Stand is used at IBC and other shows and the majority of the material is recyclable. They have used grey paint on wood to give a concrete natural feel with soft lighting.
