Kino Flo’s triple pump gets white light right

Kino Flo is previewing two new families of lights that it claims now offer “near perfect colour spectrums”.

The IP65-rated Celeb Ikon 6 (600W) and 12 (1200W), and the three new Diva Lux panels for studio use (in 100W, 200W and 400W models) all use a ‘triple pump’ of white, using three different blue emitters to excite the LED’s phosphors.

Alan Ipakchi, Global Brand Manager, Kino Flo, said: “This provides a broader colour spectrum. The result is near perfect white [daylight and tungsten].”

The Ikon models also provide full power to each individual LED, which allows them provide brighter colours, where most lights provide less power to the coloured LEDs (to favour white). The Diva Lux lights uphold traditions and give full power just to white.

Both ranges include integrated wireless DMX. The Ikon will ship early next year, with the Diva Lux following in the second quarter.
