Cameron Andrews elected Co-President of Audiovisual Anti-Piracy Alliance

beIN Media’s Cameron Andrews has been elected as Co-President of The Audiovisual Anti-Piracy Alliance (AAPA) alongside Oliver Pribramsky.

Andrews is the Legal Director for Anti-Piracy at Qatar-based sports and entertainment broadcaster beIN Media Group. He leads antipiracy strategy, enforcement and operations across the beIN group’s live sports and entertainment pay TV business. Before joining beIN, Andrews was legal counsel for the international recorded music industry’s trade body, IFPI, acting in antipiracy legal actions around the world.

Meanwhile Pribramsky, Head of IP & Content Protection and Committees at German football league DFL, has been elected as Co-President for another term. 

The AAPA said that Mark Mulready, Vice President – Cyber Services at Irdeto BV, had decided not to seek re-election for a fifth term as Co-President after eight years of service and contributions to the alliance’s mission. He will continue to support AAPA’s mission as the Irdeto Board member.

The AAPA said that Andrews “brings a wealth of expertise and a passionate commitment to protecting audiovisual content. His leadership is anticipated to bolster the alliance’s efforts in facing evolving piracy challenges on a global scale.”

The alliance also said that it “extends its deepest gratitude to Mr. Mulready for his unwavering commitment to combating audiovisual piracy, fostering industry collaboration, and championing innovation in anti-piracy measures. His leadership has been instrumental in driving the alliance’s success and advancing its objectives."
