UK-based film and TV group John Gore Studios has acquired AI specialist production company Deep Fusion Films.
Under the deal, Cardiff-based Deep Fusion will join John Gore Studios’ group of specialist labels, retaining its leadership team and creative identity.
The company will continue to develop IP and produce its own projects, while also supporting John Gore Studios’ wider slate by providing in-house expertise, tools, and workflows.
Deep Fusion was founded in 2023 by CEO Benjamin Field alongside Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Jamie Anderson and Executive Chair Andrew Keats.
It has established itself as a pioneer in the AI space, developing one of the UK’s first fully insured, consent-based, and rights-cleared generative AI production pipelines.
Deep Fusion’s work spans premium documentary, factual entertainment, and scripted development, alongside experimental formats that include AI-assisted archive reimagining and new hybrid models of creation.
Deep Fusion has worked with John Gore Studios on Hammer Heroes: Legends and Monsters, which resurrected Peter Cushing via AI. Other credits include Virtually Parkinson, a podcast that recreated British interviewer Michael Parkinson’s interview style using AI.
John Gore Studios was founded by theatre producer John Gore, winner of 25 Tony Awards. Its labels include producer Hilltop Screer, horror specialist Hammer Films, Tyburn Films, film restorer Silver Salt Restoration, and sales and distribution specialist KFilm.
