ITV Studios names Matthew O’Shea as Technology Director

ITV has appointed Matthew O’Shea as Technology Director for its production and distribution division ITV Studios.

Before this appointment, O’Shea was Director of Group Technology Platforms at ITV. He joined ITV in 2011, having previously worked at the BBC and the Home Office.

He will report into Simon Farnsworth, ITV’s CTO, with an additional reporting line into David McGraynor, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of ITV Studios.

ITV Studios said that O’Shea’s role will be to shape and deliver the technology strategy that underpins its content creation, production, and distribution. This will include digital transformation initiatives to optimise workflows and enhance content delivery.

ITV Studios produces approximately 7,500 hours of original programming across 60 production labels in 13 countries including the UK, US, Australia, France, Germany, The Nordics, Italy and the Netherlands. Its slate includes Love Island, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!, Mr Bates vs The Post Office, Fool Me Once and Incredible Animal Journeys. ITV Studios also has 20 FAST channels on over 100 channel feeds globally.
