Austria-based ORS Group and Insys Video Technologies are exhibiting for the first time under their joint international Big Blue Marble brand as they present their shared mission to “create a smarter, connected, secure future for content distribution”.
ORS acquired a 70% stake in Polish streaming technology provider Insys in 2023 following a long-standing partnership. The two companies are now operating under the Big Blue Marble brand that was unveiled in June this year.
The newly formed grouping is led by ORS CEO Michael Wagenhofer and Krzysztof Bartkowski, CEO of Insys. According to Wagenhofer: “We wanted to signal to our existing customers that we are a great partner for the future, not only being their backbone when it comes to distribution of linear TV, but also we are a partner to help them to transit into this all-IP future.”
Bartkowski noted that a key aim will be to expand the group’s business at international level. “At this point, the majority of our customers are located in Europe and the Middle East. But we already have footholds on other continents, and customers there. Now, with the joint brand, we want to expand on those and really make good use of the brand globally,” he said.
The new brand stems from the “iconic photo” of the entire Earth taken in 1972 by the crew of the Apollo 17 mission, Wagenhofer added. “We like this double meaning, so small but big at the same time.”
